In 2024, I was lucky enough to be invited to photograph the Takirua production, Hatupatu |Kurungaituku: A Forbidden Love, which was based on the Te Arawa kōrero of Hatupatu and the bird woman. The show had everything from kapa haka and dance theatre, to beautiful aerials and kept me and my camera busy!

Even from behind the camera the show had me feeling all the feels - laughter, tears, and the chills! I haven’t met anyone who wasn’t captivated and enthralled in every minute. A huge thank you to the cast and crew for the opportunity and for having me in your space, it was such an amazing experience.
